Another injury for Eddie Jones’ England

England will be without another key player for the start of their Six Nations rugby title defence after winger Anthony Watson was ruled out for up to four weeks with a hamstring injury.

Watson strained his hamstring at training ahead of England’s series opener against France at Twickenham this weekend.

“It’s disappointing news for Anthony and for England, but we know he’ll rehab diligently to get himself right to go as soon as he can,” England coach Eddie Jones said.

“We’re confident he’ll be in the mix later in the championship.”

Back-rowers Chris Robshaw and Billy Vunipola are among England’s other notable absentees through injury.
