France make 14 rugby changes for Blues

Only one starter from France’s first Test loss to New Zealand will back up for Tuesday’s tour match against Super Rugby outfit the Blues.

Maxime Medard, who started on the left wing in Saturday’s 23-13 defeat at Eden Park, will play at fullback against the slumping Blues who have lost their past three matches.

Yannick Nyanga, who played 44 minutes of the Test after replacing the injured flanker Fulgence Ouedraogo, is also in the side for the match at North Harbour Stadium.

Ouedraogo, 26, is out of the rest of the tour of New Zealand after injuring his ankle.

His replacement in the squad, Clermont’s Damien Chouly, is named on a reserves bench which also features Test starters Camille Lopez and lock Sebastien Vahaamahina.

Centre Gael Fickou has recovered from a shoulder injury to take his place in a side that features four players from French club champions Castres.

Veteran prop Nicolas Mas has shaken a knee injury to play while there are also starts for hooker Guilhem Guirado, lock Alexandre Flanquart, halfback Jean Marc Doussain and centre Maxime Mermoz who all came off the bench in the Test defeat.
