New Zealand have beaten Wales 40-17 in their Rugby World Cup third-place playoff in Tokyo.
Wales tried valiantly to break the All Blacks’ line but New Zealand ran in six tries to two on Friday night to secure the bronze medal.
There was sufficient time for Richie Mo’unga to score try No.6 three minutes from the end as the All Blacks hit 40 points.
The Kiwis had led 28-10 at halftime.
It is New Zealand’s 31st-successive Test win against Wales, and they have not lost to them since 1953.
