Former Fiji-born Wallabies winger Henry Speight will switch his Super Rugby allegiance next season and move from the Brumbies to the Reds.
The 31-year-old entertained a move overseas but Speight instead opted for fresh surroundings in Australia by signing with the Reds through to the end of the 2021 season as he awaits the arrival of his first child with partner Louise.
Speight made his Super Rugby debut for the Brumbies in 2011 after playing four seasons of provincial rugby in New Zealand.
He earned the first of 19 Test caps in 2014 and last represented Australia against Scotland in Edinburgh in November, 2017.
“I believe Australian rugby has a great future and I couldn’t be happier to stay here and pursue my goals with the Reds,” Speight said, adding his priority was to add to his 45 tries from 119 appearances with the current Australian conference leaders.
