Seventh-placed Chelsea have lost just one game. Second-last Sheffield have just one draw to show for seven outings in a lamentable fall from grace.

Chelsea’s only defeat was to Liverpool in Week 2. After back-to-back draws with Southampton and Man United, they trounced Burnley 3-0 on the road last weekend. The Blues are also coming off a handy UCL wins over Krasnodar and Rennes, with Timo Werner piling on six goals in his last five games in all competitions.

Sheffield have been characteristically stoic on the defensive end in losses to Liverpool (2-1) and Man City (1-0) in the past fortnight – but they are offering little on attack.

Last season Sheffield pulled off a 2-all draw Stamford Bridge before thrashing Chelsea 3-0 at home. But the Blades are a shadow of that overachieving ensemble and the free-scoring Blues should take out this clash comfortably.
