I cannot for the life of me understand how Liverpool are favoured in this fixture but that just makes this a perfect value play.

The Reds were thoroughly outclassed by Real in the first leg and despite their response against Aston Villa on the weekend, I just can’t see Jurgen Klopp producing another Anfield miracle.

Perhaps if fans were in the stands, you could make the case that the raucous atmosphere from the Kop might spur the home side on, but in a ground with the same atmosphere as a Sunday league game in Tasmania, it just won’t be the same.

There is no doubt Liverpool will put up a gallant fight but they just do not have the magic this season.
