Since Forest rejoined the Premier League in 2022, they have not had much joy at the Etihad Stadium.

Their first trip there ended with a 6-0 hammering at the hands of the champions while last season produced a slightly more respectable 2-0 scoreline… still in favour of City.

However this time around, Pep Guardiola’s side is vulnerable and they just keep slipping up, with one draw (in the Champions League) their only “positive” result in their last seven, not that a draw from a 3-0 lead is a good thing.

Forest got back to winning ways on the weekend defeating Ipswich, but prior to that they lost to two good teams in Newcastle and Arsenal.

Even with City’s run of results, they still get the benefit of the doubt and this is a great chance for them to get back to winning ways and that is a roll of the dice I am happy to try.
