If you’d told me that these two sides would be sitting 11th and 12th on the ladder two weeks ago I would of accused you of not knowing ball and laughed you out of the room.
It is however fact that neither of these two incredibly successful clubs have won a game yet and the Sky Blues are yet to score a goal.
City have opened as $2.00 favourites despite going down 6-0 to Adelaide United on the weekend and you’d have to think they turn it around at some point.
Sydney to their credit also looked good in patches last week against the Roar (minus a few major errors) but lacked the ability to finish what was some great build up play.
Despite the slow start, I think the value is with Melbourne on Friday night, City has won 16 of its last 17 A-League home matches following a loss and they have too much talent on that roster not to get the ball rolling here.
