Andorran teen wins Aust Open girls’ title

Andorran teenager Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva has come from a set down to claim the Australian Open girls’ title with a win over Poland’s Weronika Baszak.

Playing at her first grand slam and aged just 14, Jimenez Kasintseva prevailed 5-7 6-2 6-2 in Saturday’s final at Melbourne Park.

Earlier, French No.1 seed Harold Mayot defeated countryman Arthur Cazaux 6-4 6-1 in the boys’ final.
