Exciting Australian tennis prospect Thanasi Kokkinakis has lost the US Open junior boys’ final in a three-setter at Flushing Meadows.
Croatian Borna Coric beat Kokkinakis 3-6 6-3 6-1 on Sunday.
Another Croatian, 15-year-old Ana Konjuh, edged out American Tornado Alicia Black 3-6 6-4 7-6 (8-6) in the junior girls’ final.
Konjuh’s success follows her title at the Australian Open in January.
