Carlos Berlocq of Argentina upset eighth-seeded Fernando Verdasco to win the claycourt Swedish Open tennis tournament on Sunday in straight sets.
The 7-5 6-1 victory clinched Berlocq’s first ATP World Tour title.
He broke the Spaniard’s serve twice in the second set after a gruelling opener that lasted more than an hour.
It was the second ATP final of the 30-year-old Berlocq’s career.
He was scheduled to play in the men’s doubles final later on Sunday.
