Top-ranked Australian Alex de Minaur has started his season strongly, charging into the semi-finals of the Antalya Open in Turkey.
De Minaur defeated sixth-seed Nikoloz Basilashvili 6-2 6-4 on Monday in his third straight-sets win of the tournament.
The 21-year-old has not dropped a set and has lost only 13 games in Antalya as he searches for his fourth ATP Tour title.
De Minaur will face Belgian world No.16 David Goffin in the semi-final on Tuesday.
Australia’s top-ranked player at No. 21, De Minaur enjoyed a breakout year in 2019, winning three titles.
He will be hoping to carry his strong form into the Australian Open after missing last year’s tournament with an abdominal tear.
