Novak Djokovic can move a step closer to his fifth Australia Open crown when he takes on Stanislas Wawrinka as the quarter-finals get underway at Melbourne Park.

Gunning for his fourth successive title, as well as that won in 2008, Serbian Djokovic’s tie with Swiss Wawrinka is the headline act on Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday night.

But another match sure to capture the crowds’ attention earlier in the day – and not just for their tennis – is between Serbian Ana Ivanovic and Canadian Eugenie Bouchard.

Dubbed two of the glamour girls of women’s tennis, the attractive duo also have impressive recent form on the board.

Ivanovic, seeded 14, eliminated defending champion Serena Williams in the fourth round while Bouchard, seeded 30, trumped Australia’s Casey Dellacqua.

Tennis veterans Li Na and 28th seed Flavia Pennetta are first up on centre court with the Chinese No.4 the unbackable favourite.

She has always been a strong performer at the Australian Open, reaching the final last year as well as in 2011.

The other men’s quarter-final match to be played on Tuesday is the late day game between Czech seventh seed Tomas Berdych and world No.3 Spaniard David Ferrer.

Ferrer leads Berdych 7-4 in their previous meetings.

In the final night match on Rod Laver, unheralded Australian duo Alex Bolt and Andrew Whittington are through to the quarter-finals of the men’s doubles.

The wildcard entries face eighth seeds Canadian Daniel Nestor and Serbian Nenad Zimonjic.
