The Swiss maestro took some time to get going against the Hungarian Marton Fucsovics, but once he clicked into gear he looked like the Federer we saw in the first two rounds of the tournament. Federer will once again play a non-seeded player when he faces Tennys Sandgren in the Quarter Final, with the American once again surprising us with wins over Fognini and Berrettini. These two haven’t played before, but Sandgren has a surprisingly good record against top 10 players in the world over his career at 4-5 – and in those five losses, only two were in straight sets. It’s a big ask against Federer, but the GOAT hasn’t been running at 100% lately. This could give Sandgren a chance to sneak a set or force a tie-break, but you’ll see Federer prevail to the Semis.
