Former world No.8 Janko Tipsarevic will retire from tennis at the end of this season, the 35-year-old Serbian has announced.
Tipsarevic won four events on the ATP Tour, twice reached the US Open quarter-finals and won the Davis Cup with his country in 2010.
“It has been a great 16 years,” he wrote on social media.
“After a lot of soul searching and thinking what is important to me in this stage of my life and what does make me happy, I have decided to retire from professional tennis.”
Tipsarevic will play the US Open in New York from Monday and intends to retire following the Davis Cup finals in Spain this November.
